Drag Bike Team

Well summer is here and I’m long overdue in updating this page, so my apologies. We have a couple of announcements to make:

First off one of our drivers has decided to take a break from the sport and as such you will not see Randy Thompson and the Mac’s #01 Team racing the Super Late Model. The Car is sold as is most of the equipment, but I am sure that you will see Randy back in the seat in the coming years. After two really tough seasons with numerous mechanical DNF’s Randy just want s to step aside for now.

A big thanks goes out to Randy and his lead crew man Jason who were great ambassador’s for Mac’s within the motorsports community.

Now some news of a returning Mac’s Motorsports driver. Brent Hackl who piloted the #3 Mac’s / Pepsi Legends car to a couple of championships and was always a competitor has returned from his hiatus, but not to the OVAL. Brent is campaigning a Dragster so instead of looking for 16 and 17 second laps he is now looking for 8 second passes.

I know this is something Brent has dreamed of doing for awhile, so good on him. Look for an update from Brent in the coming weeks, but here is a photo of his new car.

Don and Greg are busy on the Drag bikes, so have a look at their updates as well as the season has started good for both. They are off to the Rocky Mountain Nationals where Greg is going to run Al Hunt’s (a long time friend and teammate of Don and Greg now deceased ) Bike down the strip which I am heading up to watch on Saturday June 26th so we’ll see how that goes...........
